This month we head off to The Pitt Street Diner.

Pitt St Diner is a charming local restaurant for food lovers, offering a great atmosphere, friendly service and very reasonable prices. We offer modern, fresh twists on French classics in an intimate and relaxed setting. Our menu also fuses Italian, Spanish and Australian influences, and we have over 125 international wines, NSW craft beers & cocktails.

Their menu changes every two weeks so we are unable to tell you exactly what will be on offer.

What we can tell you is that there will be four courses.

A starter, Main, Cheese platter and dessert.

When: May 4th, 2017

Commencing: 7pm.

Cost: $75 (booking fee included)

Shares & Starters

Beef Tartare: Lightly spiced hand-cut beef fillet with goats cheese, basil, semi-dried tomato & shallot

Prawn Bisque: Delicious soup made with prawn stock, tomato, saffron, white wine & cream with crouton

Bruschetta: With Roquefort, pecan & caramelised pears

Poisson du jour: Pan-fried Murray Cod fillet with black ink risotto, parmesan shortbread

Plat du jour Veal Blanquette, traditional French slow-cooked veal with “little garden”

Sides

Mixed leaf salad Cos, radicchio & mesclun w/ Champagne vinaigrette

Veg du jour cauliflower gratin (with cheese!)

House-cut French fries w/ house aioli

Dessert

Saint Honore: Choux & puff pastry, crème patissière, chantilly & caramel

Beignets de Pomme: French apple fritters with dark chocolate sauce or with vanilla bean ice-cream

Fromage: we have a small selection of wonderful Australian, French & Italian cheeses all served at the perfect temperature with ideal accompaniments.

*Please note that most of the menu is gluten free and we are happy to provide alternative vegan options
